Some ideas for awkward post-sex situations:
  • A filly wants the thrill of the walk of shame either for excitement or for her friends' admiration. Maybe the filly plugs herself after sexing her pet dog just before school, then unplugs herself and lets herself leak in gym.
  • An adult pony thoroughly uses a filly who meets one of the following requirements: must be very smol, have a mental disability, or she could be temporarily inebriated/brainwashed. He enjoys a solid nap right after, leaving her a mess, and is woken up when a visitor comes by while the filly is still a mess and too unware to be subtle.
  • Spike tries to hide or explain away the bulge left from Smolder's clutch of eggs inserted into him.

In that last idea, in order to remain canonical, I imagine the mating process being fertilization via oviposition followed by the drake laying in a nest, so Spike might be frantic to force himself to lay.

But the short version of it is that a pony kidnaps Sweetie Belle and Rumble and forces them to have sex with each other under threat of grievous bodily injury. And then it's later revealed that Rarity paid the kidnapper to do it because she was tired of Sweetie Belle whining about Rumble not making a move on her.

At the end of the day, though, most of my writing time is focused on interesting stories I want to tell instead of (im)pure smut, and I don't really find most foalcon stories to be legitimately interesting as stories.

Finished the story and the blog post. I'm an impatient reader when I know something more engaging is coming, so that made the setup feel a bit slow to me--classic shameless clopper mentality I suppose. Still, it was well written, and otherwise I liked the pacing. Each room was funny and titillating. I did like the last room before the chamber of truth best, with special enjoyment for Cookie's interest. The first room was great for seeing Cookie swallow her pride, and it was fitting for a warm up. I would have enjoyed seeing it with anal instead of oral just because that's more my kink. That would have made fellatio the replacement for the potential anal room you mentioned in the blog. I also like the idea of a bad end for the cunnilingus room. The chamber of truth scene in the prologue does make better sense and create a more interesting scene in light of what you mentioned in the blog about the mare's revenge. (edited)

Being a fanfic writer is sometimes like being a masseuse. If you don't hear complaints, maybe you're doing a great job, or maybe the reader is just underwhelmed and waiting for it to be over, or just there for the happy ending. I feel this way most of the time since feedback is sparse on AO3. (edited)

@Deleted User For some, dark is their favorite way to get off, though I'm sure to someone without a taste for that kind of content, it's a bit like drinking coffee black without ever having tried cream and sugar in it--well written actual sex being the cream and sugar and the situation leading up or following after being the black coffee. I think of skipping the detailed sex scene as simple no-nonsense, getting what I really want out of what I write. I love the setup and aftermath and rarely get just those without feeling obligated to skim through sex. If I want the cream and sugar I'll have that on a booru rather than in literature.

Meanwhile I'd compare what I do with non-dark scenarios to herbal tea without milk or sweetener. I think that's more common to find in fanfiction generally, but usually it's only an aside to a lengthier story that focuses on lots of other stuff potentially. Similarly, more readers find non-dark enjoyable without that extra indulgence. (edited)

I'm not saying your writing, writing style, or darker tone is bad. I apologize if that's the way it came off. I'm just explaining that it explains to me why you like that darker style with all of those darker situations. Not my personal "cup of coffee" as you explain it. Simile isn't bad, quite descriptive and gets your point across quite well. You don't like the sex, but you do like the set up and the consequences of that situation, or at least that is what I understand from your explanation.

I find it funny. How did they find you or make it to the chapter? Did he just pick a chapter at random to insult you? Hilarious. He's probably defensive that he read this far. Because he didn't have anyone else that knew about his readings so he takes out his anger, frustration, his need to uplift himself, and demean others out on the only other one whom would probably know about his hobby; the writer. As for how the chapter got exposure to that reader, my guess is the main exposure outside of my own advertisement is the search feature on AO3, and my fic tags Steven Universe as a fandom plus Connie and Lapis in one chapter. The commenter appeared by their profile to be a fan of Steven Universe.

If it were Fluttercord in the scenario I imagine, I could honestly see that happening, but I'm less interested in writing depravity these days. I'd read it if someone else wrote it. I was considering rather something like Fluttertwi doing some sort of relationship or other mental and emotional exercise without any intention of abduction, but maybe implying something at least partially wholesome in the bedroom later. Granted, your version of Fluttercord isn't too improbable canonically to make some sense. With regard to my own creative interests, I imagine Fluttershy is the moral gatekeeper unless Discord decides to be cruelly experimental and/or possibly change her nature, but that doesn't suit what I think of their relationship. At least, potential depravity and manipulation aren't what I find interesting between them in my own writing, however feasible or infeasible. (edited)

In order for Fluttershy to agree to go filly browsing with Discord as her lover, I'm imagining she'd have made a deal with him to make it worth their while. I imagine she'd not allow it to end the way you've imagined, and if she had any propensity to wish otherwise, to lust for the fillies, then it would be a stressful situation for her.

While I do have some degree of minor attraction, I also have a significant amount of sanity and self-respect (not to mention I'm actually a very stable individual). I would never be foolish enough to consciously entertain thoughts of my kids or their friends in any sexual context. To do so is just asking for trouble. (edited)

I love that writing anthologies means writing a fun idea and being done with it unless I want to expand later. So much flexibility. I think I did well in that anthology since I was especially motivated. It was the last time that Foal Party felt like it had a real creators' event.

As for weekly fic discussions, that sounds good whether structured or not. These things generally benefit from organization, but if nobody wants to lead collecting recommendations and picking one randomly, there are other ways, and there's always spontaneous discussion like what's just happened here. If I were to lead the fic selection, I'd necessarily want to read and participate, but (cuz reasons) I think it's best I avoid the commitment and only participate not-as-a-leader. Instead, I'll make suggestions from my own works and see if anyone wants to add to these.
